Heads up – upcoming road closures on the Bardon Beat

🔹Abbey Road, Charley

🗓13 April 2026 (for 3 days)
Abbey Road will be closed between Oaks Road and the Leicester Road / Meadow Lane / Warren Hill Road junction to allow Severn Trent Water to carry out remedial carriageway repairs.
➡️ Signed diversion routes will be in place.

🔹Market Place & Church Lane, Whitwick

Works are taking place to replace a pedestrian bridge and carry out footway maintenance:
• Market Place – closed approx. 16 April 2026 for 2 days, 09:00–15:00
• Church Lane – closed from 20 April 2026 for 5 days, 09:00–15:00

⚠️ Temporary traffic lights will also be in place on Market Place from 13 April for up to 3 weeks.
